circa 1900, signed, maker Alphonse Hanne L'Isle-Adam, embossed signature mark and number 09, terracotta earth-coloured painted, boy standing on a square base on a tree trunk support with a bird's nest at his feet and looking at the large tear in the trouser leg at the back, good, expertly restored condition, h 54 cm. Info: under the title "Qu'est-ce qu'on va me dire?" there is an identical piece in the Louis Senlecq Museum of Art and History in L'Isle-Adam (M0435). Artist's info: French sculptor (1849 Plourvino to 1915 Vellejuif), active for the manufactories of Villenauxe-la-Grande (Aube), L'Isle-Adam (Val-d'Oise) and Mauger and Letut, Source: Internet.
