$1 Coin issued in 1972. Given directly by the Rebbe during the Hanukkah of 1990, in the original plastic case (the closing tongue is broken - see picture).


Hanukkah Gelt 1990 - In 1990, the Rebbe stated that he wanted to give Hanukkah Gelt to each and every one. The coin in a plastic case with the inscription "חנוכה ה'תנש"א" was handed out by the Rebbe on the 25th-26th of Kislev to men, women and children, with the Rebbe blessing each of them with a Freilechen Hanukkah / Happy Hanukkah.
