Letter by the Rebbe the Rayatz with His Blessings for Good Health andParnasah and an Addition Handwritten and Signed by Him
Letter by the Rebbe the Rayatz typewritten on official stationery from Tevet 18 1948, with many blessings.
The letter is addressed to "ש"ב [שאר בשרי] ידידי הנכבד והכי נעלה גזע תרשישים" Rabbi Yosef Chaim Shlomo Schneersohn.
"במענה על מכתבו אודות חלישות בריאות בנו... השי"ת ישלח לו רפואה ויחזק את בריאות כולם ויתן לכולם פרנסה טובה בהרחבה בגו"ר. ש"ב ידידו הדו"ש..." - here the Rebbe added two handwritten wrods before his signature: "ומברכות בגו"ר".
The addressee: Rabbi Yosef Chaim Shlomo Schneersohn (1880-1954), one of the honorable members of the Chabad community of Hebron and a descndant of the Admor Hazaken. Served as a Shadar of the Chabadic community of Eretz Yisrael and several times, siezed the opportunity to visit Lubavitch. He also merited accompanying the Rebbe the Rayatz during his famed visit to the Admor Rabbi Aharon of Belz. Was one of Ba'alei Hashmu'ah of the Chabadic community of Israel. After the destruction of the Jewish community of Hebron during the 1929 Palestine Riots, he moved to Jerusalem, serving as the Gabai of the Baal Hatanya Synagogue of the Meah She'arim neighborhood in Jerusalem.
