19th c. Carved Figural Cherub Mahogany - attrib. RJ HORNER
Mahogany Sideboard likely by well known American carved RJ Horner. Circa 1890 With three drawers over two hinged doors, the center drawer deeply carved in relief with six intoxicated putti frolicking in a grape arbor, with finely carved shell handles, surmounted and flanked by renaissance revival style buxom caryatids carved with flowing hair and jewels, centering a beveled mirror, surmounted by two reclining carved putti, all raised over carved claw feet. 81"H, 74"W, 23"D. (41"H at sideboard). Condition: very good, some minor losses to surface finish, otherwise no other damage or repair.
