Medieval Flight into Egypt Illuminated Manuscript
Flight into Egypt illuminated manuscript leaf France, mid-15th century polychrome and gilt additions on vellum opening miniature for the office of vespers in a Book of Hours, depicting Joseph leading Mary and the Christ Child on a donkey, written in Latin on both sides and scrolling foliate decoration throughout. Measuring approx 7.25" h x 4.35" w. Great color pigments as shown. All these from one collection and most bought from Mackus Company Illuminated manuscripts and Historical documents as shown in receipts. Good condition, see photos
