Herman Rose Oil on Canvas Landscape
Herman Rose (Herman Rappaport) (American, 1909-2007). Oil on canvas painting depicting a landscape filled with red flowers or poppies. Signed along the lower left corner.
Sight; height: 12 in x width: 15 1/2 in. Framed; height: 14 3/4 in x width: 18 3/4 in.
Condition: The surface is stable and the color is bold and bright. There are some losses of painting to the extreme edge against the frame along the rabbet. There is a network of accretions to the sky and grass. Small paint losses along the top and bottom left corners. When inspected under UV there were no signs of restoration.
