Bruce Tapola Plein-Air Parvenu Oil on Canvas 2013
Bruce Tapola (American, 20th/21st century). Oil on canvas painting depicting a grotesquely abstracted figure with their pants around their ankles standing in front of a canvas. Signed, titled, and dated 2013 along the stretcher.
Provenance: Private collection, Minnesota.
Unframed; height: 20 in x width: 16 in. Framed; height: 21 1/2 in x width: 17 1/2 in.
Condition: The painting is in excellent condition with no visible tears, creases, or losses. The surface is stable, and the color is bold and bright. There is a minute loss to paint to the lower center of the painting; however, it is not visible at arm length. When inspected under UV light, there is no visible sign of restoration.
