Large Han Dynasty Hu Wine Vessel
Large Chinese Han Dynasty ceramic hu wine vessel in the form of bronze and lacquer prototypes. With a wide mouth, articulated rim, and an amber glaze characteristic of vessels of this period. The sides with incised decoration and taotie mask handles.
Height: 15 in x diameter: 13 1/2 in.
Condition: The vessel is in good condition overall. There is a chip to the rim, as well as a few small chips to the body and foot of the vessel. There are no visible cracks or repairs. There is some crazing to the glaze throughout. Surface wear throughout.
