Italian 'Ox Tongue' Spear, 16th-18th C.
Period large 'Ox tongue' spear with long triangular pointed double-edge blade and socketed base. Predecessor to the partisan with development in this style first used in the early 1400's and throughout the 1700's, replaced shaft 88" L, blade 22 3/4"
Condition: striations and pitting throughout, polished over patina
