AN ENGRAVING BY VLADIMIR FAVORSKY. MID 20TH C.
An engraving by Vladimir Favorsky with a view of the Kremlin. Signed by the artist’s initials in the lower left: "VF". On the back is a stamp with the Cyrillic letters "SH". The engraving is well detailed, with remarkably transmitted light and space in the typical manner of the artist.Vladimir Favorsky (1886 - 1964) - Russian and Soviet artist, master of woodcuts and book graphics, art critic, stage designer, monumental painter, teacher and theorist of fine art.
