EVANS RONALD: (1933-1990) American NASA Astronaut. One of the twelve astronauts to have flown to the moon without landing on it. Command Module Pilot of the Apollo 17 in 1972, the last crewed mission to the moon. Evans served as fighter pilot and flew combat during the Vietnam war.
