Eretz Israeli oval pin of the school Health Scouts, c. 1930's-40's
Oval pin of the "Health Scouts", c. 1930's-40's; 2.95g, 28.25x20mm. Emblem of eye with Heb. legend "Better the Power of Safety than the Power of Therapy" & name " Tzofey Briut" (below). This was one of a few pre-State/early State era elementary- & middle-school student organizations, established to educate children in health and hygene, and to assist the school-nurse. The org's also had their own songs. This badge also exists with slightly different org. names.
