A wonderful story concerning the honor of the Torah - Rabbi Kook. Jerusalem, 1934
A special and rare booklet published on the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of Rabbi Kook - "a wonderful story concerning the honor of the Torah" heard from Rabbi Kook, by Rabbi Shmuel Baruch Shulman, Jerusalem. Elul, 1934. 'Eretz Israel' printing press - only edition.
Following the controversy in Jerusalem between Rabbi Kook and his opponents, and in light of the harsh deeds done against Rabbi Kook by opponents of his method and especially in the plaster writings written against him and hung on the streets of Jerusalem, Rabbi Shulman published "This historitic story I heard from my Rabbi and teacher Rabbi kook shlit'a Mara DeArah DeIsrael - who received from his father-in-law the late Adara't - in the presence of rabbis and dignitaries of the Holy City of Jerusalem and who made a very strong impression on the hearers".
In the pamphlet, a wonderful story told by Rabbi Kook from his father-in-law, the Adere't, genius regarding the disgrace of the honor of the Torah during the dispute between Rabbi Yaakov Emdin and Rabbi Yonatan Ivshitz. At the end of the pamphlet, the author quotes Rabbi Kook when he has finished telling the story: "You see in your eyes the bitter end that was for one who excelled in writing plaster writings in the contempt of wise disciples, Even though there was also a thought here that at its core was a term "Leshem Shamayim", in any case everyone related to it will not be cleansed, because 'fire is until destruction do eat' ... "
