The image shows the French comedian, in a three quarter length pose, in costume as French gendarme, one of his most acclaimed roles. Signed in bold blue ink `Avec toute ma sympathie, Louise de Funes´, to a clear area of image, also dated 1972 in his hand. Vintage photographs of Funes, even more in costume as Gendarme, are very rare and desirable. VG
