VERNE JULES: (1828-1905) French Novelist. Best known for his science fiction and adventures novels. An excellent signed cabinet card photograph by Verne, the Ch. Herbert image, Amiens, showing the French artist in a head and shoulders pose. Signed `Hommage sympathique de l´auteur - Jules Verne´, (''Pleasing tribute from the author'') to the lower white border of the image. Bearing the photographer´s logo at the base of the front image, and to the verso. Stain to the upper right border, not affecting the image, nor the signature. Small age wear, otherwise G
