Letter about "Chok Chezkat Ha'Mavet 1951". The Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Herzog presents the position of the Torah regrading this legal issue. The addressee, Rabbi Dr. Zerach Varhaftig, served those days as the deputy minister of religious services and a Knesset member of the Mafdal.
The letter is typewritten on Rabbi Herzog's official stationery. Throughout the letter there are handwritten glosses and additions by Rabbi Herzog. Signed by him.
