Letter handwritten and signed by Rabbi Michel Yehuda Lefkowitz. The letter is addressed to the rabbi of Tiberias, Rabbi Asher Ze'ev Werner. Zichron Meir, 1951.
In the letter, Rabbi Michel Yehuda tells the rabbi of Tiberias about his book "Emek Ha'Sha'ar" that had been published those days. He notes that only the first six sections of the book had been published now. At the end of the letter he asks for Rabbi Werner's opinion on the book.
Rabbi Michel Yehuda Lefkowitz was one of the heads of the Ponevezh Yeshiva for youth. After the death of Rabbi Menachem Shach, he served as a role model for some of Rabbi Shach's admirers, as a follower of his doctrine and heritage.
His book. "Emek Ha'Sha'ar", which was published in his youth, was approbated by his rabbi, Rabbi Yechezkel Sarna, and Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer.
Rabbi Asher Ze'ev Werner was the Ashkenazic rabbi of Tiberias and head of "Or Torah" Yeshiva in Tiberias.
13.5x17.5 cm. More than 15 lines in nice handwriting.
Condition: Very Good. Folding marks. A light stain.
