A PAIR OF 14K GOLD CUFFLINKS. American, c. 1950. Hand crafted in the shape of lions with the name “JUDAH” in Hebrew and English. Engraved on verso with dedication to Rabbi Mortimer Cohen. Rabbi Cohen (d. 1972), was a Hebrew scholar and author who was ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary in 1919. He was the Rabbi of Congregation Beth Shalom from 1920 - 1970 and he was the author of Pathways Through the Bible (1946). In addition, he served as the president of the Jewish Book Council. 24.3 grams and 1.25” long.
