NORTH KOREAN WAR ERA POSTER
Good color printed poster, 24 x 18 in., [n.p., n.d., ca. 1946-48], depicting a peasant woman holding the flag of the Provisional People's Committee for North Korea (used only from 1946-1948), stabbing a beast's paw - labelled 'the clawed paw of imperialism' - with the flagpole. Interestingly, the paw was holding a whip with Japanese coins tied to the ends, a clear attack on Japan's conquest of the Korean Peninsula during World War II. Pinholes to the corners from pervious hanging, one corner chip, else very good.
