Notes: A high quality painting, undoubtedly from the 17th century. Probably by the Dutch artist Godfried Schalcken, who was an important artist known for his candlelight scenes and also Gerrit Dou's (one of Rembrandt's prominent students) colleague.
Cleaning will most probably improve the overall clarity and colors in the painting.
