Sefer Miztvot Gadol (Sm"g). Daniel Bomberg Press, [1547]. Pedigreed Copy. Many Glosses
Sefer Mitzvot Gadol (Sm"g). Piskei Halachot by Rabbi Moshe of Couci. Arranged according to the 613 mitzvoth. Venice, Daniel Bomberg press, [1547]. First edition with the additions and elucidations of Rabbi Matityahu Delacarte and R' Eizik Stein.
250, [2], 251-316 leaves. 33 cm. Two sections: negative and positive commandments. Individual title page for 'Positive Commandments' (starting on leaf 91). Many owner signatures. From the library of the Beit Medrash of Yechiel Wallach (in Hamburg). Refer to: Yechezkel Dukas, Chachmei Ah"u, Hamburg 1998, p. 84-86 and the German section of the book, p. 29-30. With the ex-libris of "the Kloiz of Daniel Solomon Wallach" (in German).
Very important copy. Includes many tens of handwritten glosses in the margins of the book. Apparently written by three authors:
1. The primary writer, outstanding Torah scholar, around [1740].
2. Glosses in an Ashkenazi-Italian hand from the 16th century, tens of glosses.
3. Gloss on leaf 263, in the style of Rabbi Nosson Adler.
Worn binding. Title page and the first and last leaves are detached. Minimal worming holes in the first four leaves. Wide margins. Overall fine condition.
