A Harsh Letter from Rabbi Zelig Reuven Bengis. 1940
Handwritten and signed letter from Rabbi Zelig Reuven Bengis, the Av Beis Din of the Ashkenazim in Jerusalem, to Rabbi Moshe Glickman Porush. Rabbi Bengis complains about the content of an article published in the newspaper HaMevaser (apparently concerning houses in Jerusalem’s Shaarei Chessed neighborhood) and warns Rabbi Porush to desist from all his efforts in connection with the Eida HaHaredis in Israel and abroad…
Rabbi Zelig Reuven Bengis (1864-1959) was the Av Beis Din of the Eida HaHaredis in Jerusalem and author of the Leflagos Reuveni series of books.
