Notice for the artist - Michal Worke - a unique voice in the Israeli art field.
Her paintings are characterized by stylish and controlled figurativeness, vivid colors, and dealing with scenes and characters from everyday life. They operate within the figurative painting tradition in general and the realistic one in particular.

Michal Worke (1982) immigrated to Israel from Ethiopia and grew up in Netanya, currently living and creating in Tel Aviv.
A graduate of the art department at Shenkar, she studied painting at the Kubiyah Jerusalem school.
She has presented several solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions at the Artists 'House in Jerusalem and at the Artists' House in Tel Aviv.
She just had a solo exhibition at the Zimak Gallery in Tel Aviv
Michal won the Lauren and Mitchell Presser Prize for Contemporary Art for 2020.
