A proclamation from approximately 1920 featuring excepts from a previous proclamation from 1897, that was signed by the Rabbis of Jerusalem: Rabbi Yaakov Shaul Alisher, Rabbi Moshe Yehuda Leib Diskin, Rabbi Shmuel Salant, and many more Sephardic Rabbis.

The proclamation contains many warnings that actually indicate the intent to distance one’s self from the missionary and its activists, and mainly from the Missionary’s hospital, where many residents of the Old City tended to go for medical treatment. The Rabbis also indicate not to receive presents from the missionaries.

Under the warnings that are quoted from the previous proclamation, and the signatures of the Rabbis of Jerusalem of the previous generation, the signatures of the Haredi rabbis in Jerusalem were added: Rabbi Yitzchak Yerucham Diskin, Rabbi Yosef Chaim Zonenfeld, the three rabbis of Badatz of the Haredi Community in Jerusalem, and Rabbi Nissim Danon, the Rishon Lezion and the last Hakham Bashi during the period of the Ottoman Rule in Israel.

56 cm.
Very good condition.
A large and impressive proclamation. It is not found in the National Library and is not registered in any bibliographic resources. Extremely Rare.
