KAZAN ELIA: (1909-2003) American film and theatre director, Academy Award winner. T.L.S., Elia Kazan, one page, 4to, n.p., 24th October 1972, to Ray A. Roberts, Editor at the MacMillan Company. Kazan states that he read Harold Clurman's book and wrote him a note, explaining 'In it I said that I thought his book would be the most influential book on stage direction ever written in this country' and also adding 'If you think this useful, you can quote me'.
