EAGELS JEANNE: (1890-1929) American actress, posthumously nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1930. A rare vintage signed and inscribed sepia 7 x 9 photograph of the actress standing in a full-length pose and holding a parasol before her. Photograph by Sarony of New York. Signed in fountain pen ink to the image, partially across a darker area although reasonably legible, and with a slight smudge at the conclusion of the signature. Autographs of Eagels are extremely rare in any form as a result of her untimely death from a drug overdose at the age of 39. Neatly mounted and with slightly irregularly trimmed edges, about G
