RUSTIN BAYARD: (1912-1987) African American leader in social movements for civil rights, socialism, non-violence, and gay rights. Rustin worked closely with Martin Luther King Jr., helping to organize the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, and strengthen King's leadership. Signed and inscribed 8 x 10 photograph of Rustin in a close-up head and shoulders pose. Signed in black ink across a clear area of the image. VG
