ARLISS GEORGE: (1868-1946) English Actor, Author and Filmmaker. First British actor to win an Academy Award, as well as the earliest-born actor to win an Oscar. A.L.S., George Arliss, one page, 4to, New York, 27th November 1924, on his personal printed stationery, to Mr. Braithwaite.
