Mikhail Mikhailovich Fokin (1880 - 1942) - ballet dancer, choreographer. He worked as a choreographer with Anna Pavlova, created productions for Russian Seasons by Sergey Diaghilev. It is considered the founder of modern classical romantic ballet. After the 1917 revolution, he emigrated to Stockholm, then moved to the United States. In 1939, together with Rene Blum, he staged three ballets, including Les Elements to the music of J.S. Bach.
