DE GAULLE CHARLES: (1890-1970) French General of World War II. Later President of the French Republic 1959-69. An excellent signed and inscribed 9 x 12.5 photograph by De Gaulle, the unusual size Fayer image, from London, showing the General in a head and shoulders formal pose. Signed and inscribed in dark fountain pen ink (`a Madame Arontcheff, en témoignage! C. de Gaulle´) to the lower card border, and dated 24th January 1946 in his hand. Signed photographs of De Gaulle of this size are particularly scarce and desirable. Crease to the upper left corner, otherwise G £400-600
