A photographic postcard from the ceremony of laying the cornerstone of the Hebrew University. Jerusalem, the 15th of Av (1918).
The photograph depicts a large crowd, including many British military men, looking upon the canopy that was erected at the site of the laying of the cornerstone. Dated in the plate: "Tu BeAv 5678 Jerusalem". (15th of Av 1918).
14X9 cm. Good condition. Minor stains. Minor blemishes to the margins of the postcard, creases. Traces of tape on verso.
