CLEMENT XII: (1652-1740) Pope of the Roman Catholic Church 1730-40. Clement XII started the construction of the Trevi Fountain. Rare L.S., `L.[orenzo] Arc[ivescovo] Nicome[dia]´, in his capacity as Archbishop of Nicomedia 1690-1706, one page, vellum, oblong 4to, Rome, 1693, to `Famiglia nobilis Justiniana´, in Latin. The document bears to the heading the large and bold capital letters ''Laurentius''. Untranslated letter. With addressee to the verso. Small overall minor age wear and toning, with edges very slightly irregular, otherwise about G to VG £300-400
