איורים בשחור לבן של דיוקנאות יהודי מזרח אירופה.
הרמן שטרוק - צייר ואמן הדפסים יהודי וציוני. מחשובי האמנים היהודים בגרמניה, שעלה לארץ ישראל בשנת 1922. עבודותיו קובצו בספרי תחריטים והדפסים, שרבים מהם הוקדשו למראות ממסעותיו ברחבי העולם
ארנולד צוויג – סופר נודע בגרמניה ( 1968 – 1887 ) נעשה ציוני נלהב ועם עלות הנאצים לשלטון עלה לא"י והתיישב בחיפה .
ב – 1948 חזר לברלין המזרחית . חתן פרס לנין לשלום ב – 1958 .
הספר יצא בברלין . 1920 בהוצאת " העולם " .
