בספר סדרת איורים שאייר זאב רבן באופן מיוחד עבור הפואמות המופיעות בספר.
האיורים נעשו בטכניקה של גיר לבן על נייר שחור, בסגנון חיתוכי העץ והתחריטים הכהים של יוסף בודקו, סגנון שבחר לאמץ רבן בשנות ה 50. האיורים נעשו על נייר מיוחד ומודבקים בין דפי הספר.
תחת כל איור מופיע כיתוב מהפואמה שאליה הוא מתייחס
