Buddha Abaya Mudra, Thailand, Rattanakosin Kingdom. Late 18th century
Buddha standing in Abaya Mudra on a stepped mound, dressed in the Uttarasangha monastic robe and wearing a winged tiara. Finely crafted lacquered and gilded bronze with finials and geometric motifs in delicate granulation. Thailand. Kingdom of Rattanakosin. End of the 18th century beginning of the 19th century. 63cm. China - Tibet - Oriental Art - Asian Art - Chinese Art. Provenance: property of an important private collection, acquired on the art and antiques market before 1980 (lots 168-259).
