Delphin Massier (1836 - 1907) Important pair of ceramic pots with columns
Pair of columns with herons by Massier. Each column is surmounted by a vase decorated with flowers and is reminiscent of the traditional majolica work found in the Mediterranean. Created by Delphin Massier (1836-1907) in the town of Vallauris, where his family had lived for generations, these pieces testify to an exuberance and passion for the local fauna and flora. The two columns decorated with heronsThis set of columns was such a successful model that in Massier's posthumous catalog of products of 1908 they were offered in various sizes. Size: 115 cm high and 55 cm in diameter.
