המחבר רבי עזריה פיגו' נודע בספרו ההלכתי הגדול 'גידולי תרומה'.
חותמת: מנחם מרדכי תאומים פרענקיל, ירושלם.
הרב מנחם מרדכי פרנקל-תאומים [תרמ"ב – תשל"ב], ממקימי ועד העיר האשכנזי בירושלים, ולאחר מכן ראש ישיבת רבי חיים ברלין בברוקלין. היה תלמיד מובהק של הרב יצחק ירוחם דיסקין ומקורב לרב יוסף חיים זוננפלד. נסמך לרבנות בידי הרב קוק, הרב יוסף גרשון הורביץ, הרב יעקב משה חרל"פ ועוד. בשנת תרפ"ט הוציא לאור בירושלים את החלק הראשון של ספרו "דרוש וחידוש".
חסר מספר דפים באמצע הספר.
