Synagogue Postcards [230]. Europe, 19-20th Century
Large, unique collection of about 230 postcards of European synagogues. End of the 19th-beginning of the 20th century.
Average size: 9x13 cm.
Impressive pictures and illustrations of synagogues in Eastern and Western Europe: Germany, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Russia, Italy, Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine, France and more – in addition to synagogues in the United States, North Africa and Jerusalem. About 100 colored postcards. The rest are black and white/brown and white.
Includes 5 unique postcards: The center of the picture 'opens' and it includes smaller pictures of additional synagogues. An additional postcard is comprised of 5 folded leaves.
New album. Most postcards are preserved well and are in very fine-excellent condition.
