The recommendation emphasizes the bachur's affinity to mussar, and includes Torah thoughts.
Rabbi Yechezkel (Chatzkel) Levenstein [1885-1974] was a prominent mussar personality in the last generation. He studied by the Chofetz Chaim and in Kelm where he later served as R"M in the yeshiva ketana. He was also Mashgiach in Kletzk, Mir, Lomza-Petach Tikva and Ponevezh. He authored "Ohr Yechezkel" and "Mimizrach Shemesh".
Rabbi Shmuel Hominer [1913-1977] was a mussar personality from the 'yishuv hayashan'. He learned in Eitz Chaim by Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer and was known for his righteousness, refined character traits and bitachon - about which he authored "Sefer Mitzvat HaBitachon"
