Letter of Torah Novellae by Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv to his Son-in-Law Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky
Torah and halacha novellae by Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv, sent to his son-in-law Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky. The 5th of Kislev, 1990. Answer to three questions regarding terumot and maasrot.
[2] pages. Stationery, text on both sides and in the margins. 17x25 cm. Blue ball point pen.
Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv [1910-2012] was a gadol hador. He was born in Siauliai, Lithuania. He was an only child, born to his parents after seventeen years of marriage. As a boy, he helped his grandfather, kabalist Rabbi Shlomo Elyashiv, with his magnum opus "Leshem Shebo V'Achlama". In 1924, he immigrated to Eretz Yisrael with his family and settled in the Meah Shearim neighborhood. He studied in various places in Jerusalem. He was the son-in-law of Rabbi Aryeh Levin. His diligence was exceptional, he only slept three hours a day until his last years.
Very fine condition.
