Rabbi Baruch Itzchak Issachar HaLevi, Head of the Beit Din of Poltosk was born circa 1875, his father was Rabbi Efraim Shraga, Head of the Beit Din of איניאווי Iniawai, great grandson of Rabbi Issachar, Head of the Beit Din of Chenschov who was the author of “Petach Sha’arim.” He served as Head of the Beit Din of Brisk- דאקוי. Then he became the Head of the Beit Din of Poltosk for 16 years. At the beginning of WWI he fled to Vilna and with the help of Rabbi Hayim Ozer Grodzhinski he received a permit to immigrate to Israel where he died din 1944.
