Letter from the Rishon L’Zion Rabbi Ovadia Yosef
A letter from the Rishon L’Zion Rabbi Ovadia Yosef in his handwriting on the back of a postcard from1963.

A request to send him a religious document “HaTorah VeHaMedina.” From the letter one can infer how much he thirsted for all printed Torah material, as is known his library was one the largest and most important Torah libraries of his generation.
Rabbi Ovadia Yosef was one of most erudite scholars in the last generations. He was the Rishon L’Zion and president of the Council of Torah Sages, he restored Jewish learning to its glory through his teaching all over the country. He was the author of the “Yechve Omar” responsa, “Yechve Da’at, ” “Maor Isrsael, ” and more.
In the margins are holes made by a paper punch. Very fine condition.
