Postcards from Hungarian Jewry, [2], 1924, 1941
* Postcard printed by the "Givat Shaul" organization of Kaschau announcing the yartzheit of their Rabbi, Gaon Rabbi Shaul Brach, with an invitation to participate in a memorial meal scheduled to take place in Kaschau. Kaschau, [1924]. Fine condition.
Rabbi Shaul Brach was av"d in Kaschau. He was a disciple of the "Chatan Sofer" and a prominent rabbi of his generation. He served in the rabbinate in Mogendorf from 1892, and in Károlyi from 1910-1923 until he moved to Kaschau (Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum of Satmar took over his position).
* Postcard sent from Rabbi Yehuda Leib Lemberg (Rabbi of אורענטש) to Rabbi Avraham Stern, Rabbi of Neushasle, Hungarian gaon and historian. He authored "Malitzei Eish" and more (He died in the Holocaust on the 26th of Sivan, 1944). Rabbi Yehuda Leib wrote and signed the postcard in [1941]. Very fine condition.
