Collection of Printed Postcards of Synagogues in Europe and More [72]
72 printed, numbered postcards of illustrations, photos and sketches from Jewish community life in Eastern Europe before the Holocaust. Bialystock, Vilna, Lutzk and more. Synagogues that were destroyed, interior of the synagogues and holy arks. City streets. Jewish cemeteries and more. The postcards are a copy of the original postcards in the Tomasz Wisiniewski collection, and were printed in the middle of the 20th century. The back of the postcards note that 1000 copies of each postcard was printed, however their rarity seems to indicate that only a smaller amount was printed. 16x11 cm. Most in black and white. Very fine condition.
