Binyan Tzion HaChadashot. First Edition. Personal Copy of the Author of Sdei Chemed with His Inscription

She'eilot U'Teshuvot Binyan Tzion HaChadashot on the four sections of Shulchan Aruch, by Rabbi Yaakov Ettlinger, author of Aruch LaNer. Vilna, 1878. First edition.

The book was edited by the author's son, Rabbi Ben Tzion, who also wrote the introduction.

This is the personal copy of the renowned Rabbi Chaim Chizkiyahu Medini, author of Sdei Chemed, who inscribed a personal dedication in his own handwriting:
"I purchased this book with the funds dedicated in my name by my esteemed and revered patron, Rabbi David Yitzchak Finkelstein of Bialystok, may he be blessed, as well as many other books, as recorded in each one. May his name be remembered for the good."

At the end of the inscription, the stamps of Rabbi Chaim Chizkiyahu Medini, the Sdei Chemed, appear.

About Rabbi Chaim Chizkiyahu Medini (1833-1905):
He served as Av Beit Din of Karasu-Bazar (Bilohirsk, Crimea) and later as Av Beit Din of Hebron. A profound Torah scholar, he was one of the greatest halachic authorities of the later generations. His magnum opus, Sdei Chemed, is regarded as an encyclopedic halachic work and gained widespread acceptance in Jewish communities worldwide.
