The holy gaon Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund, Gaavad of Jerusalem, was the grandson of the holy Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Freund, who served as a rabbi and Admor in Unterdam and Naszód (son-in-law of Rabbi Mordechai Yehuda Leow, Av Beit Din of Unterdam). He served as a rabbi and Rosh Yeshiva in Hunyad, Hungary. After immigrating to Eretz Israel, he became the rabbi of the Beit Yisrael neighborhood, Rosh Yeshiva of Yitav Lev, Av Beit Din of the Edah HaChareidis of Jerusalem, and later its Gaavad. He was renowned for his great piety and holy conduct. He passed away in 5756 [1996].
All books bear the stamps of the righteous gaon Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund.
