Agudat Ezov – By the Holy Gaon of Biala, Father of the Admor Avnei Nezer, With a Dedication from His Grandson
Agudat Ezov – True Torah novellae and deep Talmudic discussions by the holy Admor, the renowned gaon and tzaddik, Rabbi Ze’ev Nachum, Av Beit Din of Biala, along with additional novellae and discourses by his son, the gaon Rabbi Avraham Bornstein, Av Beit Din of Sochatchov, author of the Avnei Nezer.
Second part. Bilgoraj, 5669 [1909].
Following the title page is an approbation from the Avnei Nezer, in which he recounts how his father was accustomed to miracles.
The book was published by the author’s grandson, Rabbi Yaakov Orner, Av Beit Din of Nasielsk.
This copy includes an extensive dedication letter in his own handwriting and signature.
Rabbi Yaakov Orner, Av Beit Din of Modzhitz and Nasielsk, was the nephew of the Avnei Nezer and a disciple of both Rabbi Ze’ev Nachum Bornstein and his son, the Avnei Nezer. He married Feiga Chaya, daughter of Rabbi Yosef Ziskind, who was the son-in-law of Rabbi Ze’ev Nachum.
He served as a rabbi, first in Modzhitz, and later in Nasielsk. Many letters addressed to him were published in the Avnei Nezer, where he is given great honorific titles. He passed away in Pultusk on 3 Elul, 5676 [1916]. Most of his writings were lost during the Holocaust.
231 pages. 31 cm.
Very good condition. Some wormholes.
