Beit Tefillah – The Copy of the Kabbalist Rabbi Shlomo Bloch, to Whom the Chafetz Chaim Sent People for Blessings.

Beit Tefillah – Ethical exhortations and various prayers by Rabbi Eliezer Papo, author of Pele Yoetz. Jerusalem, 1968.

Special Provenance:
On the endpaper, there is a handwritten signature of Rabbi Shlomo Bloch, along with a stamp confirming that the book was in his possession.

About Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Bloch (1886–1976):
A renowned Lithuanian Kabbalist, known as a miracle worker and one of the leading figures in the Mussar movement after World War II.
He was a close disciple of the Chafetz Chaim and studied alongside Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman and Rabbi Eliyahu Dushnitzer.

His Early Years:
Born in Baranovitch to R' Eliezer.
At age 15, he began studying at Novardok Yeshiva, under Rabbi Yosef Yozel Horowitz ("the Alter of Novardok").
In Novardok, he grew close to Rabbi Yechiel Michel Epstein (Aruch HaShulchan).
Later, he studied in Radin Yeshiva, where he became a close disciple of the Chafetz Chaim and even studied with him as a chavruta.
He was part of a select group the Chafetz Chaim sent on special missions requiring "prayers of tzaddikim."
Post-Marriage Years:
After marriage, he continued studying in Radin and later in Kollel Perushim in Eišiškės, where he was ordained by Rabbi Yosef Zundel Hutner, the city’s rabbi.
After two years, he moved to Vilna, where he studied for five years and received rabbinic ordination from Rabbi Chaim Segalowitz, author of Makor Chaim.
In 1917, during WWI, he moved to Kelm, studying in the renowned Talmud Torah.
In Eretz Yisrael:
In 1925, he immigrated to Eretz Yisrael, settling in Jerusalem.
He refused all rabbinic positions, dedicating his life entirely to Torah and prayer until his final day.
On the day of his passing, a sudden storm broke out in the middle of the summer, with heavy rain falling during his burial. His tombstone bears the inscription:
"In the heavens, the clouds darkened, a sign appeared—a rainbow in the clouds. With a mighty wind, the rain poured down upon his bier as he was brought to his eternal rest."

Reputation as a Miracle Worker:
He became widely known as a tzaddik and miracle worker, whose prayers were answered. Many sought his blessings, and according to David Zaritzky, even the Chafetz Chaim himself directed people to Rabbi Bloch for blessings.
