"Mashbir Bar" – Explanations on the Torah, and "Koach Shor" – Novellae on Tractate Bava Batra, by Rabbi Yosef Steinhardt, Av Beit Din of Fürth. Prague, 1827. First Edition.
Rabbi Yosef Steinhardt, Av Beit Din of Fürth, was one of the great Acharonim and the author of Responsa "Zikaron Yosef". From 1763 until his passing in 1776, he served as the rabbi of Fürth.
This book was published by his grandson, Rabbi Akiva Steinhardt, Av Beit Din of Kovno, a disciple of the Chatam Sofer, from the manuscript that had been passed down in the family. Rabbi Akiva added many of his own annotations.
The book includes approbations from the Chatam Sofer, Rabbi Mordechai Banet, and others.
A separate title page for "Koach Shor".
