Siddur Rabbi Shabtai Sofer, first edition London 1902 - including the rare english introductory pages and title page.
The Siddur is reviewed and meticulously copied from the Siddur of the Gaon Rabbi Shabtai Sofer. Brought to the press with an English translation column by column, by greedy haters who seek justice for the benefit of the children of Israel and with the assistance of the Talmud Torah Society and the Enlightenment of Boys in London. London 1822.
Title page in Hebrew and English. English translation column by column. At the beginning is the introduction of J. Van Oven.
A copy that includes the introductory pages of J. Van Oven is a very rare.
The editors of the bibliographic factory did not see such a copy (nor did they record the numbering of its pages). Is not in the National Library.
Page details:
XV. 112, 112-238, 243-246, 24, 26-28 page. [239-243 pages are Missing].
Good condition. Significant wear and tear on the cover with spinal defects. Slight time stains. Page status - preserved.
